Timberlake Church 2022 - 1st Quarter

It has been a great beginning to the year with so many amazing stories. We want to share them and our finances with you.  Scroll down for details.

Letter From Pastor

We’ve had an exciting start to 2022, and continue to see God’s blessings. COVID has subsided, and Timberlake has returned to “normal” services, events, and operations. While COVID hindered us in some ways related to new attendees being fully immersed in our family, we expect that this year will see many baptisms and new member growth as a result of restored church life.  With Spring in full bloom, it is easy to forget that just barely over a month ago we were wearing masks and had half the on-campus attendance we are blessed with now. So while the Impact report reflects the winter and much of the COVID impact, we can still reflect on how faithful God has been and how faithful you as the family of Timberlake have been in response to God.  God wants His people open to His Spirit – to serve, give, pray, and worship – all with faith and love. Thank you for your commitment to our God. Thank you for your service, your giving, your prayers, and worshipping with your Timberlake family. The apostle Paul closes his letter to the Philippians with these words, “The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit.” Phil 4:23.  A simple prayer and blessing. Rich in theology. Pregnant with meaning. For how can we serve a risen Savior, how can we worship, serve and love without the Holy Spirit filling us with the Grace of Christ?  Be filled with and live your lives with this grace.

Mission Work

We continue to serve in many mission work projects this quarter . Here's a spotlight on four of them:

Hope For Appalachia
The Fillin' Station
School Food Bags
GLOW Mission
Hope For Appalachia

Hope for Appalachia is a mission that we began to support in the first quarter of 2022. It is a non-profit organization involving a network of churches throughout Virginia and North Carolina that brings much needed basic necessities in “Hope Boxes” to children at Eastertime in some of the poorest counties in the Appalachian Mountains. We were able to collect 845 pencils, 161 tubes of toothpaste, 320 toothbrushes and 231 pairs of socks in addition to $190 in cash donations and give them to Pastor Mike Dodson at New Salem Baptist Church in Culpeper.  As the year goes on, we hope to grow this mission and support it with more collections and donations!

Serving Hours

Jesus told us to "Go into the world and preach the gospel to all creation". Our heart's desire is to fulfill this command every day and make a difference in our community.  We do this by our mission: to reach, feed, and release people to be the hands and feet of Jesus.

Our Mission

"We had over 1,500 worshipers join us at Timberlake for Easter Sunday. Whether it be on line or in person, Timberlake has a desire to serve our community through the various ministries including Traditional & Modern messages. Ask a member how you might be a part of this exciting growth and energy we experience on The Lords' Day. Reach. Feed. Release."

"I love Timberlake because of so many things: the people are friendly and welcoming; Pastor Brad's messages are easy to understand, relevant to my life, based on scripture and always make me laugh at least once; music, music, music - HANDBELLS, choir, piano and organ, guest soloists, praise band, FLUTE solos, adorable children's choir; LifeGroups-best way to connect and make new friends; missions with many opportunities to volunteer.  It was a no-brainer for me to become a member of this wonderful church!"
